US government deficit reached a record $1.15 trillion in the first 5 months of the Fiscal Year 2025

The US government borrowed a mind-blowing $1.15 trillion or nearly $8 billion a day in the first 5 months of the Fiscal Year 2025, the most ever.

This has even surpassed the 2021 fiscal shock after the 2020 Crisis.

In February alone, the government borrowed $307 billion, the second-largest amount on record.

Last month, the government spent a whopping $603 billion while tax revenues reached $296 billion.

In other words, the government spent twice as much as it collected in taxes.

US debt crisis is getting even worse and it looks like nothing has been done to get skyrocketing debt under control. Nothing stops this train.
