⚠️CHART OF THE WEEK: US private sector hiring is at recession levels
The job market does not seem to be as strong as headlines claim
US hiring in the private sector has declined for 29 months straight, marking the longest streak since the Great Financial Crisis of 2007-2009.

As a consequence, the hiring rate dropped to 3.6% in December, the second-lowest in 10 years, almost in line with the 2020 Crisis low.
