The US technology sector has underperformed the S&P 500 by 5.9% so far this year, the biggest margin in 19 years.

This is not surprising as during the risk-off periods investors usually sell the most profitable and the riskiest assets. Notably, the Big Tech led to the historic market gains in 2023 and 2024. Is this just a correction or something more significant is looming?
