US weekly bankruptcy fillings* 4-week average jumped to 7, the most since the 2020 Crisis. In other words, the US has had 28 big bankruptcies over the last 4 weeks. *Companies with more than $50 million liabilities.

Outside of the 2020, this is the highest level since the Great Financial Crisis.

The trend of rising bankruptcies continues meaning more companies struggle to pay off their debt as the economy slows while interest rates remain elevated.
