US executives are getting more pessimistic about the outlook of the world's largest economy

CEO confidence* in the US economy over the next 12 months fell to the lowest level in 13 years.

When CEO confidence plummets, the next step is for companies to rapidly cut costs as they expect lower demand, leading to economic slowdown or a recession.

This means a massive reduction in the headcount.

*The survey of 329 US CEOs and business owners was conducted April 8-10.
